June Goals

We are officially in the summer! Time for my June Goals. If you didn’t see my May Goals, I have linked them here and my May Reflection is here too.

  • Believe it or not, I have started running?! CRAZY talk, I know. I want to do my best to keep this up. I have set myself a few 1-2 year goals and running 10k for a personal charity is one that I really want to be able to do.
  • A while ago I set myself the goal of moisturising after every shower and I failed. miserably. I want to try and do this again because I have dry skin and love hot showers. I’m sure you can do the math for how bad that is!
  • At the end of June I am going to Barcelona and I cannot wait! I want to make sure I have the best time and explore some of the places we didn’t last year.
  • As you know, I have been involved with a charity in York where I am helping with an event. This has really sparked my love for Events Fundraising and so I have contacted my local Macmillan fundraiser to see if I can help out in any way over the summer. If I can, I really want to get some more experience under my belt.
  • Following this, the event I help with is on the 10th June and I am so excited to showcase the hard work the hospice has put in and help in any way I can to make it a success!
  • Enjoy getting back in to working. I go back to NEXT in June-July and I am excited to see everyone again. I miss working, I do admit!

  • Seems crazy that my May goal was to hit 700 followers and this month it would be insane if I hit 900! I don’t necessarily pursue this as a goal but rather use my monthly goals to almost sign post what milestone I am close to.
  • I have started using Twitter again, yaaay! I really want to keep active on Twitter and enjoying speaking with you guys.

  1. Well done, Ella. I love running, and on any given day, it takes my cares away. In fact I am heading to a new park today evening to run around and check it out. And the end of June shall be here soon, so get your lists in place already 😉

  2. Nice goals Ella! Well done on the running! I have tried time and time again, but I just don’t like it XD I’d rather do workouts, cardio is always the hardest for me. Barcelona sounds exciting!! Also, 900 followers? Ella, have you seen your follower count?? 😛
That one will be done in a few days ;D

  3. Hi Ella!
These are beautiful goals!!! Great job on starting a running routine! I think the best times of my life were times when I was running consistently. Also, the most successful people I know go for regular runs :).
Yes, I am not the best at daily moisturizing either, except my face. I do a good job with that. Some things that have helped me be more consistent is :1. See it as a chance for self-care. You are lathering on the love and moisture. 2. Pick out a moisturizer that you really like so that you will look forward to using it!
Also, congratulations on surpassing your follower goal for may! You deserve it!
Have a wonderful summer! I look forward to reading about your adventures!

      1. I listen to music when I run, but to be honest, I genuinely like running 😄 I find it to be a good time I can think about things and sort of relax. Also, pacing your running and pacing your breathing can really help, especially if you get cramps/side stitches when you run

      2. If you exhale every time or every other time you land on your left foot when you’re running it prevents getting side stitches (this may work for the right foot too but I’ve only ever done it on my left foot). I started doing this about a year ago and I haven’t gotten stitches since! Hope this helps 🖒

  6. I love reading your posts with goals – it’s always really inspirational! For some reason, moisturising after a shower is one of the most difficult tasks to accomplish and create a habit out of 😏 I feel your pain, girl! Your trip to Barcelona sounds like it will be amazing! I’ve always wanted to go ❤ Being involved with charities is such a lovely way to enhance your life and add new skills! And 700 followers is incredible but 900?! Go you! ❤ xxx
