May Reflection

MAY REFLECTION.jpg

EDIT 04/06: I am having some trouble seeing my notifications on WordPress (for some reason they just won’t load?!) so I am really sorry if it is taking longer than normal to reply. Thank you for being the best!

Well I thought April went fast – what happened to May?! Here is how I did with my May Goals guys!

What I Achieved

Personal

  • I have sorted out having a job for when I am back at home – I am going to be working at NEXT where I am lucky enough to be able to go back to whenever they need me
  • Mum and I are still planning a day in London but we are feeling a little wary about visiting a landmark when the threat level is currently critical. I am in two mindsets about this which is troubling me. 1) Don’t let terrorists win and incite terror in everyone 2) I know we would feel massively anxious on the day and maybe not enjoy it as much as we could. I think we’re going to play it by ear and see…
  • I definitely invited more people to do things in the first half of May as I felt myself and pretty happy. This slid off towards the end (I wrote about my Mental Health Update here) but I am still proud I managed it for the first half!
  • The same is to be said for saying yes to more things too.

Blog

  • Okay, this one blows my mind. I set a goal to maybe achieve 700 followers and by the 23rd I had hit 800. I cannot believe how lucky I am to have you guys as my internet friends. You are all the best.
  • I have included more photos recently and I have been really enjoying it – what do you guys think? I used more in my Mishka Mail Review and my Primark Strobe Kit Review mainly.
  • I have got a better idea of posts you guys like but I am still not 100% sure what people love the most. Please let me know below if there are any posts you really like seeing or would like to see me do!

Academic

  • God did I work hard in May! Crazy hard and I just hope it pays off!
  • I have been loving working at the Hospice and the experience is just helping my confidence and knowledge of events planning go through the roof! I am excited for the big event itself in June now, eek!

Better Luck Next Time

  • I really do suck at using Twitter and Instagram to engage with bloggers and tweet about my posts etc. This is something that I am going re set as a goal for June which I hope will work.
  • There has definitely been some sun to enjoy which is amazing but it has all been when I have had to work which is just typical.
  • I definitely didn’t find a good balance between work and relaxing when it came to my actual exams as they were a day apart and I found this really challenging and I burnt myself out pretty quickly.

How did your May goals go?

This is an awesome post! I love the layout and how you organized it.

I need to do better with my Twitter and Instagram as well! Insta is better but I constantly forget to open Twitter! 😓

I’m the same! I don’t really like the Twitter app, for some reason?!, so if I don’t have it downloaded I literally never check it but I speak to so many bloggers on there that I really need to get over my tech grudge! xxx

My Twitter and Instagram could both use work as well lol so you aren’t alone. That reminds me I need to actually do a Spring Goals Recap :).

Ahh I think we all have one social media we don’t excel in… it can be so much work when it is all together! Ohhh excited to see that! xxx

I’m excited to see more of your travel posts 🙂 and definitely lol but it’s bound to happen.

Love this post and the layout! I think reflection posts are good to look back to see how far you have come & what you have achieved in a year! Also I agree my Instagram engagement is very poor & so is my blog so I’m making it my goal to engage more! Xx

Ah thank you darling! I’ve heard a lot about Instagram pods recently that I am thinking about getting involved in.. who knows?! They might be worth it in terms of engaging with other bloggers! xxx

I love this! Especially the “Better Luck next Time” part – love how there’s no pressure that maybe something wasn’t completed as it was planned to be, and that’s OKAY and not blown up out of proportion like we (as in hard working ladies usually!) usually tend to do! Have a great new month!

    • June 4, 2017 / 2:24 pm

Thank you lovely!! That is exactly why I lay it out as I do, there shouldn’t be any pressure to meet every single goal you set out for yourself! I am always pleased with how many I achieve and the rest are left for another time! xxxx

The notifications don’t work with me as well. They just keep on loading and then nothing happens. Congrats on hitting 800, must be exciting! <3

    Hi Ella!
Great job on your May goals. You have been working hard and your hard work is paying off. It also looks like you set yourself up for a wonderful summer!
May was a challenging month more me, but I got through it and am hoping for a brighter and happier June!

Hey Alana! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely, well thought out message! You’re the best 🙂 I’m sorry May was challenging for you, that sucks, really. I love your attitude though and that is the most important thing! Keep that head up xxxx

        Hi Ella!
Thanks for the encouragement! I just finished spring quarter at school and summer has begun so things are already looking up! I hope you will have a wonderful weekend!
