This is one of my favourite type of posts to write and they always get the most positive reaction so I knew I had to do another one this week! I think it is so important to celebrate and appreciate the hard work bloggers put in and I don’t think it should ever go unnoticed. So here are just a snapshot of my favourite posts from last week.
Some of my favourite posts to read are blogging ones. It is so useful to read about other people’s experiences when blogging and learn new tips and tricks as I go. I feel like I have learnt so much more from blogging this way and much faster than I would have if I was left to my own devices! Daniela Soriano posted about what she learnt in her first year of blogging and I loved it. I have definitely spoken to the most amazing people since I have been blogging and I have honestly realised how much hard work that goes in to blogging – which is what inspires these posts! Bea also did a great post on her blogging advice which I bookmarked straight away. I actually stopped using tags a while ago and since reading I have started again – so hopefully it helps!
Riya’s beauty post was definitely one of my favourites this week. Riya reviewed the Rimmel London One 1 Matte lipsticks and I was so impressed. Gone are the days where matte lipsticks are drying! These swatched so creamy in her photos and I am really interested in trying them out. The colours are just beautiful – there are some lovely pinks, a purple (wot) and nudey browns. The next post is actually one of my all time favourites. Emily Mae posted about the dupe drama that has been happening recently and whether or not this is okay. From my hefty comment it is obvious that I got really invested in talking about it. I think there are so many compelling arguments when it comes to dupes and the Kat Von D and Makeup Revolution drama has definitely pushed this in to the spotlight.
Abigail did a post this week that was one of the most important ones I have seen about self-love and self-confidence. She mentioned creating a journal which is a positive, happy place and including things you love about yourself to read when you feel low. I thought this was such a fantastic idea and it is something I have since started myself! Kind of related to mindfulness is Natalie’s post. Natalie wrote a really interesting post on the compeition that occurs between girls and how we really need to focus on bringing each other up rather than putting one another down.
My favourite travel post this week was by Kirsty who wrote about her bucket list. I love seeing other people’s travel bucket lists and discovering new places to add to mine! I have never thought of Madagascar or Canada and this really inspired me to think of travelling to new and interesting places! Plus, are photos are gorgeous.
Another Kirsty, over on The Monday Project, posted her opening and review of the newest Papergang box. It is safe to say that I am totally jealous as it is my favourite Papergang box I have ever seen and of course it has to be when I haven’t ordered one in some time! The pastel colours are gorgeous and look amazing in the photos.
