Bucket List: Spring Edition

spring bucket list.jpg

I love lists, bucket lists in particular. Ages ago I saw a blog (unfortunately I cannot give credit as I can’t remember where I found it!) do a bucket list for each season and I thought it was a fantastic idea and a way of making the most of what each season brings. So here is my bucket list of 20 things I want to do this Spring:

  1. Bake some amazing treats from my Deliciously Ella cookbook that I got for my 20th birthday (haul is here)
  2. Have a picnic
  3. Go for more walks (especially ones at sunset), even if it is just to a lecture!
  4. Wear colours other than grey, white and black
  5. Visit a farm or a petting zoo – who doesn’t love baby animals?!
  6. Play mini golf
  7. Go on a bike ride
  8. In general, just spend more time outside
  9. Spring clean!
  10. Start eating strawberries again (can you pick them yourself yet in Spring?!)
  11. Get excited about Easter eggs and then get sad that I have eaten too many
  12. Go to more garden centres to wander around
  13. Change to scents of the candles I burn – no more gingerbread and cinnamon!
  14. Buy flowers (or get some… hint hint Adam)
  15. Wash my car without freezing to death!
  16. Plan my summer holiday (travel inspiration post is here)
  17. Visit some of the gorgeous places around York, like Harrogate or Scarborough
  18. Learn to make my own lemonade
  19. Take lots of pictures
  20. Go to some museums or botanical gardens – you can do this any season of course but for some reason I attribute it to the Spring

What plans do you have for the upcoming Spring?

Love this post, I want to be outside more, to try to take more pictures and visit botanical gardens/museums. What’s the difference between a garden centre and botanical garden?

    • February 6, 2017 / 1:31 pm

Well for me anyway I feel like botanical gardens are beautiful arrangements of flowers within gardens that you can wander around and appreciate whereas garden centres often have little wendy houses to look at, sometimes there are animals, fish etc and you can buy which is great!

oh that’s cool 🙂 I think where I live they only have botanical gardens but I believe sometimes they have koi fish in little ponds. Garden centres sound so cool.

Such lovely goals, it’s often about the simpler things that you forget about! X

Thank you so much! I feel like I don’t appreciate it getting slightly warmer and all I want to do is stay inside all snuggled up so I will have to change that this year! haha x

Oo I loved this post, and these types of posts in general are my favourite too! LOVE the idea of making your own lemonade, you’ll have to blog about it if you do! You’re pretty much my twin in terms of what you wanna do. All about the outdoors/garden centres and *receiving* flowers! Great post, happy Monday! xx

Thank you so much! I think I’m going to attempt it very soon and knowing my luck it will be a massive failure haha but at least it will be fun to document!! Ahhh I’m glad you feel the same! Happy Monday lovely 🙂 xx
