DISCLAIMER: Be prepared for a big sales haul! I went a bit overboard this year in the sales as I have donated a lot of clothes and as per my January goals, I am attempting to focus on quality over quantity of the clothes I buy.
I bought quite a lot in the Zara sale but ended up returning a fair amount because I have just spent far too much recently! I did get this lovely grey biker jacket that I have been lusting after for ages for £19.99 and a versatile black dress for only £9.99! (yellow available here) I also got a cropped white shirt that I again had wanted for ages and was reduced from £25.99 to £15.99 so I was super happy about that.
I was a little naughty on John Lewis and I bought myself my first All Saints piece, eek! It’s the lovely, dark denim shirt that is slightly cropped and it’s already the my most cherished piece in my wardrobe. It was, however, the princely sum of £52 which makes me wince as I write it. I know that it’s such a wardrobe staple that I can use in every season though and I love it very much. It’s on the All Saints website here.
I am still umming and arring over this pair of shorts (similar version here too) that I got in the Topshop sale. I have wanted them for ages but when I got them home and tried them on I realised they were see through! They’re oh so adorable in this cactus print but I’m unsure what to do about the underwear situation it’s created, and they were also £20, eek! I also picked up this super cute jumper that had a black lace detail at the top for £22, slightly pricey but I love it all the same. (Grey version in Tall here)
Something else I am unsure about keeping is this Jack Wills shirt. It is lovely navy with white specks through it. Realistically, if I hadn’t already bought a heck of a lot of clothes in the sale, I wouldn’t even consider returning it – but I already have a lot so I am slightly unsure. As soon as I tried it on, however, my boyfriend loved it and ensured me that I had no choice not to buy it which didn’t help! The other factor again is the price. I know I am focusing on the quality of the items I buy now but still at £29.95 it is a pricey piece! Then again, like the All Saints shirt, it is so classic and timeless that I know I won’t be changing my mind about it anytime soon. There is a link here to a load of gorgeous shirts Jack Wills have on offer.
Finally… we’re getting there! I got a lovely pair of loafers from ASOS. They’re my first piece from Daisy Street and I am really impressed! They look so much nicer in person but the link is here if you want to check them out. I got them to replace a much loved pair of nude loafers from Office that had seen better days and I am so happy I snapped them up.
Did you get any January sale goodies?
