This post is all about my favourite makeup products under £10 that I have loved in 2016. I love drugstore makeup. I love finding great makeup products and tools for under £10 that I can rely on and don’t have to break the bank to repurchase. I hope you like some of my favourites!
One of my favourite face products is the Natural Collection Cover Up Cream, which is only £1.99! It is a great dupe for the already cheap Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer which is a beauty community favourite at £4.19. It is super creamy but is great at covering up any blemishes.
I also love the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. It isn’t the foundation I am currently using as I am working through my MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation but for years I have adored the Rimmel foundation. It is super for dry skin and gives you a lovely dewy finish. It costs a mere £8.99 which means you aren’t breaking the bank if it turns out not to be for you! I have also heard great things about the matching concealer but I have never tried it myself.
Good and affordable eyeshadow is sometimes really easy to find… sometimes very difficult! My absolute favourite this year is the Sleek iDivine Eyeshadow Palette in ‘All Night Long’ which I was kindly gifted for my birthday! The colours are beautiful and so wearable. You can pick it up for £8.99 in Boots and there is a great selection of different colours to test out.
I have recently discovered the NYX Matte Liquid Liner after a friend recommended it to me. It is £5.50 on ASOS (here) meaning you can grab some student discount on top! At first I found it really hard to use but I eventually got the hang of it! It stays on all day and is super black which is better than the crappy ‘grey’ eyeliners I often find myself stuck with!
There is one product that I am mentioning for my eyebrows as it has taken me all year to actually find a product I love and that doesn’t break the bank to repurchase! Everyone has heard so much about the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade which is £15. Not bad if you know you love it but why even bother when the NYX Tame and Frame Pomade is only £5.50 and works a dream! I am soooo impressed with this product and I can’t believe it has taken me so long to find such a gem.
Again I have to mention NYX. NYX seems to have completely dominated the beauty industry here in the UK this year and I think a main reason is their Soft Matte Lip Creams. They cost £5.50 each and the selection is just incredible. I have Amsterdam, Budapest, Cannes and Milan and I adore them all so much. I am currently lusting after Stockholm and London so hopefully I will add those to my collection soon – a perfect stocking stuffer for any lady in your life really.
I was recently lucky to get the NYX Lingerie Lipstick in Babydoll from my boyfriend to try out. As a nude it is definitely very nude so generally I just put a little on and use my finger to blend it out to avoid 2k08 concealer lips! It costs £6.50 and the range of nudes in particular is amazing and worth checking out!
Finally I thought I would mention some tools that I love. I have several Real Techniques brushes that are reasonably priced but what I often call ‘high end drugstore’ in terms of price. I have actually been really impressed with Primark’s range of makeup brushes that I want to feature two in this post. I have the big fluffy powder brush that cost a hefty £2 and the angled contour brush which I believe was another £2. The quality of the brushes is actually great and I am really chuffed I didn’t judge Primark for it’s quality and gave them a go.
