Whats Your Favourite Holiday Movie?

I have recently discovered Arthur Christmas and I have to admit that it has shot right up to the top of my list of favourite Christmas films. There are obviously the classics like Elf and The Grinch that get watched every year that I adore too. I also love The Holiday as that one doesn’t seem to get overplayed too much!

Whats Your Favourite Christmas Color?

Oooo, I love red. But not a bright red, more like the colour of mulled wine? A burgundy shade of red. I think it looks so festive and cosy (if a colour can look like that!) I’m not a huge green person unless it is khaki so that is a no go for me. I do love all the frosty and icey blues and silvers for decorating too, although our tree is always gold! Ahh I love gold too.. I don’t know!

Do You Like To Stay in Your PJs Or Dress Up For Christmas?

Probably a combination of the two. I love being in my PJs Christmas Eve – I get to open one present that night – and then on Chrismtas morning when we come down and open presents. However later on in the day I love to dress up and generally buy a nice top or dress to wear that looks pretty.

If You Could Only Buy One Person a Present This Year Who Would It Be?

That is so hard. I genuinely think I have to avoid family and boyfriend for this question as they read my blog so I feel a tad mean. I would have to pick my friend Raff. I did buy her two presents this year for Christmas and I think she is the most deserving person ever who should be spoilt.

Do You Open Your Presents Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning?

One on Christmas Eve with my Mum – it is a little tradition that we started several years ago and makes me feel all festive! I then open my presents from my Mum on Christmas Day but I go to my Grandmas (traditionally) on Boxing Day where I get to see my Dad, his fiancee Jane, my Grandma and my Grandad to open presents there together too. Christmas is a long event for me!

Have You Ever Built a Ginger Bread House?

No but I have always wanted to! Maybe this year I will.

What Do You Like To Do On Your Christmas Break?

I get a long break from university over Christmas but because most of my friends are all over the country still and my boyfriend and mum are at work most days generally I get all my university work done that I need to do for January. Not the most exciting!

Any Christmas Wishes?

To be happy 🙂

Favorite Christmas Smell?

Any kind of baked goods. The Yankee Candle do one called Christmas Cookie that is the absolute best thing ever!

Favourite Christmas Meal Or Treat?

I am a super fussy eater so I have to pick something that is very particular to me. When I visit my Grandma, after our big Christmas roast for lunch, we always do a buffet style meal for dinner that is so lovely and it wouldn’t be Christmas without it!

Home Alone would have to be one of my all-time favourite Christmas films, but I love The Grinch too (huge Dr. Seuss fan!) Gingerbread houses are so much fun – years ago my mum used to buy my sister and I the little IKEA kits to assemble and decorate, we always went a bit mad with the icing and decoration though! I’ve not tried making my own though, so maybe that’ll be a challenge for a future Christmas.

The Grinch is a classic – I love it! Ah really? That’s so sweet! I’ve got one from Next this year to try out for the first time!! X

Always used to be a Christmas highlight! Have fun constructing and decorating your gingerbread house (if you stick it together with melted sugar, you’ll have to work quickly as it solidifies super fast once you take it off the heat!)

    Great post 🙂
Favourite Christmas film EVER…”Elf”…so hysterically funny couldn’t breathe for laughing!! Also, best line from that”Does somebody need a hug?”…second choice would be “Big” 🙂

I do a mix of dress-up-nicely and PJs for Christmas too. I always get PJs or slipper boots for Christmas (I either ask for them or buy them as my own little treat) so I love wearing those on xmas and snuggling up in fresh sheets xmas eve. x
